We’re currently recruiting for three paid positions; a Charity Administrator / PA, an Operations and Outreach Worker, and a Local Organiser.

Job Title

Local Organiser

 

Summary

Hours of work: 37.5 hours spread over Monday – Friday. Will include occasional evening/weekend commitments. 25 days annual leave plus statutory holidays.

Overall responsibility: Building and leading a volunteer team to develop and deliver local influencing strategies. You will be involved in community organisation to campaign for change and creating a movement to end the need for foodbanks. You will be the link between Cambridge City Foodbank and the Organising and Local Mobilisation team at Trussell Trust.

Requirements/minimum knowledge: Experience of campaigning to achieve a change. Experience of managing and working with volunteers. Experience of community outreach in the local area. Good project management skills.

Behaviors and competencies: Confident in communicating and able to balance a range of views, influencing where required. Must Demonstrate a commitment to the values of Cambridge City Foodbank and Trussell Trust.

Job Title

Charity Administrator / PA

 

Summary

Hours of work: 30 hours spread over Monday – Friday, 6 hours per day. Will include occasional evening/weekend commitments. 25 days annual leave (pro-rata) plus statutory holidays.

Overall responsibility: Providing consistency to the Foodbanks’s operation by delivering our administrative processes and providing PA support to the CEO and senior managers.

Requirements/minimum knowledge: Strong administrative skills. Highly organised. Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and Zoom/Teams. Strong communication skills.

Behaviors and competencies: Friendly, trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality. Must demonstrate a commitment to the values of Cambridge City Foodbank and Trussell Trust.

Job Title

Operations and Outreach Worker

 

Summary

Hours of work: 37.5 hours spread over Monday – Friday. Will include occasional evening/weekend commitments. 25 days annual leave plus statutory holidays.

Overall responsibility: Facilitating the smooth running of the foodbank’s operational service. Will also involve networking with signposting agencies and promoting to community groups.

Requirements/minimum knowledge: Experience of coordinating/managing projects. Experience of managing and working with volunteers. Competent in the use of Microsoft Office. Able to lift crates weighing up to 15kgs. Full clean UK driving license.

Behaviors and competencies: Confident in communicating with people from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds in a friendly, non-judgemental manner, and able to convey information and win support. Must Demonstrate a commitment to the values of Cambridge City Foodbank and Trussell Trust.
