The community organisations below can all issue food vouchers for our food bank and will make sure you are connected to wider support.
Cambridge Citizens Advice
What happens next:
You'll speak to an adviser who may be able to help increase your income. If you still need a food bank voucher, ask them to refer you.
Cambridge and District Citizens Advice can help you if you live in Cambridge City of South Cambridgeshire.
Cambridge City Council Housing Advice Service
What happens next:
The team may schedule an appointment for you to visit our customer service centre. If it’s easier, they can arrange for a housing advisor to call you back. If your situation is critical – if you are homeless today – contact the team by phone as soon as possible. If you contact them before 3.45pm and they assess that you have nowhere to go, they will contact you back the same day.
The Housing Advice service provides free, confidential advice to anyone in the Cambridge City Council district. They can provide advice on a wide range of housing issues, from landlord disputes to homelessness.
Cambridge Women's Resources Centre
What happens next:
The team will have a conversation to see how they can help you, including issuing you with a food bank voucher.
The Cambridge Centre is located in Sturton Street, CB1 1SN. They offer group sessions, courses and individual support for a range of issues, including housing, education, finding work, health and wellbeing and coping with life on a low income. The Thrive service supports women who have had involvement with the criminal justice system.
They also offer the Freedom Programme, for women who have been subjected to domestic abuse.

What happens next:
The team will speak to you about how they can help you, including by issuing a food bank voucher if needed.

Change Grow Live - Drug and alcohol service
What happens next:
The team run a walk-in service where you can go for support, or you can email or call them. If you need a food bank voucher, they can refer you.
Change Grow Live - Street Outreach Team
What happens next:
The team will advise you support available to you, including sources of free food.
The Street Outreach team identifies and works with people over the age of 18 in the City of Cambridge who are street homeless. They help rough sleepers on the street or at the day centre by informing them of the options available, pointing people to places where they can get food, showers and clothes.
Help Through Hardship phoneline
What happens next:
You can call this confidential helpline to speak to a friendly advisor about accessing financial support and getting a food bank voucher. You may have to wait on the line for a little while before an adviser is available to help you.
The adviser will talk to you about your financial situation and issue you a food bank voucher. They'll tell you your voucher code and where you can go to collect your food parcel. Speak to the adviser if you are concerned about not being able to get to the Foodbank Welcome Centre, or if you have any special dietary requirements.
