Find out if membership is right for you.
Fairbite Food Clubs are designed to help local people who are struggling financially. For a small membership fee, members choose from a range of food and household items. As a member you’ll select up to ten items from the shelves during a weekly visit to your local shop.
As well as affordable food, members can get expert advice from our Citizens’ Advice advisors, and can join the Fairbite Members’ Club – a group for all members to meet each other, share ideas about the shops, and get involved in events and opportunities in the community.
There are a limited number of membership available so if the club is full you might need to join a waiting list.

What about my dietary requirements?
Items in the shop are correctly labelled, and it’s your responsibility to check the packaging to confirm suitability for your own dietary needs. We aim to offer a good range of products for different dietary requirements, dependant on donations and space.
How do I pay?
When you visit the shop you pay your £2 at the desk. You must be confirmed as a member and pay your £2 before you shop.
How will you contact me?
We will communicate with using e-mail or text (SMS) according to your preference. Occasionally we may mail letters or other information to you.
Can I bring my family?
Parents with small children may bring them into the shop while shopping but due to the limited space we may ask older children to wait outside the shop area where they can be easily seen and will be safe.
What if I don’t visit the shop for a while?
If you haven’t attended the shop for twelve weeks, your membership will expire and someone else will be offered a membership. You can re-apply at a later date and your name will be added to the waiting list. We’ll send you a reminder before your membership expires.
